健康保険の傷病手当金と障害年金の調整

傷病手当金とは、健康保険に加入している人が、仕事以外のケガや病気のため
働くことができず、会社から給与が支払われないときに、その療養中の生計を
保障するために支給される保険給付です。

傷病手当金の給付期間は支給開始から1年6ヶ月が限度となり、
それ以降は支給されません。
また、障害年金の障害認定日は初診日から1年6ヶ月ですので、
通常は傷病手当金と障害年金が二重に支給されることはありません。
しかし、ケースによっては傷病手当金を受給中に障害年金の受給権が発生
することがあります。
この場合は、障害年金の方が金額が大きければ障害年金が満額支給され、
傷病手当金は支給停止となります。
逆に、傷病手当金の方が金額が大きい場合は、
障害年金は満額支給されるものの、傷病手当金は障害年金の額を
差し引いた金額が支給されることになります。
ただし、次のような場合は傷病手当金と障害年金の併給調整はありません。
【ケース１】
国民年金のみに加入中にうつ病を発症し障害基礎年金を受給している人が、
就職後に同じうつ病で傷病手当金を受けた場合は、
傷病手当金と障害基礎年金が両方支給されます。
【ケース２】
うつ病で障害年金を受給している人が他の傷病で傷病手当金を受けるなど、
障害年金と傷病手当金の支給事由となった傷病が異なる場合には、
併給調整されず両方が支給されます。
