横断歩道を作ろう！

研究学園のスタバより、、
昨日仕事で心療内科に行ったときのことです。
医師と話をした後待合室で座っていたら、
受付の女性から声をかけられました。
「もしよろしければ、クリニック前の道路に横断歩道を作るための署名活動に協力いただけませんか？」
話を聞くと、
このクリニックは道沿いにあるのですが、
道の向こう側に駐車場があり、
道を渡ってクリニックに行くのに横断歩道がほしいということでした。
このクリニックの前の道路は、
横断歩道が必要なほど大きな道ではありません。
しかし、ちょっと田舎の道路だからか、
走る車のスピードが早いのです。
私も駐車場からクリニックに入る際、
前を通る車のスピードが早かったので
少し注意が必要でした。
集中力が落ちているうつ病の人にとっては、
交通事故の危険性が高いと感じました。
それに、
このクリニックの隣には保育園があります。
園児の安全確保のためにも
横断歩道があった方が良さそうです。
というわけで私は
クリニックから申し出のあった横断歩道設置のための署名運動に
協力することにしました。
こういうことに税金を使うのなら大歓迎です。
こんなちょっとした活動も大切だと感じた今日この頃です。
