休職が終わった後は配置転換の検討も重要

病気やケガなどで休職したとき、
復職後の仕事がどうなるか気になりますよね。
厚生労働省は慣れた職場に戻すという観点から、
休職前と同じ職場、同じ仕事に戻すのが望ましいとしています。
たしかに復職したら職場や仕事内容が変わっていたらと思うと
不安も強いでしょう。
以前と同じ業務の方が慣れ親しんでいるので
安心して職場復帰できるというのも事実です。
しかし、仕事が原因でうつ病になった人の場合、
休職から戻るときに同じ職場に復帰させるのは
必ずしも最適とはいえません。
なぜなら、
仕事や職場の人間関係が原因でうつ病になったのなら、
休職して体調が良くなったとしても
同じ環境に戻したらうつ病が再発するおそれが高くなるからです。
うつ病になった職場環境でまた働く、
考えただけでも恐ろしいです。
うつ病の再発率が高い要因の一つが、
もしかしたら職場復帰時に
以前と同じ職場で同じ仕事をさせることにあるかもしれませんね。
日本精神神経科診療所協会会長で産業医も務める精神科医の渡辺洋一郎氏は、
「企業側の配慮が不十分なケースも多い。
再発防止には発症理由に照らした配置転換の検討も重要だ」
とコメントしています。
休職が終わって職場復帰するときには、
慣れ親しんだ元の職場に戻すことも重要ですが、
うつ病の原因が職場にあるのなら
配置転換や業務軽減といった配慮も必要ですね。
